Ed Finch, Founder and President of FHL Capital, received both his undergraduate degree in Economics and his JD from the University of Virginia. He began his career as a Wall Street attorney, and later became a partner with the law firm of Balch & Bingham in Birmingham. Ed has been actively involved in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate finance for over 40 years. His transactional experience includes the purchase, sale and financing of publicly traded companies as well as smaller privately held companies across a broad spectrum of industries. He has represented both domestic and international clients and has provided financial advice to early stage and mature businesses. Ed has advised on transactions with an aggregate transaction value in excess of $5 billion. He has also served as a board member of various companies including NuTech Medical (a biologics/stem cell company), the Parkinson's Association of Alabama, the Executive Committee of the Board of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and is the Audit Committee chairman of a public company.
Mike Mahon, Vice President of FHL Capital, received his undergraduate degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia. He joined FHL Capital in 2005, after first serving as an associate with New Capital Partners, a Birmingham-based private equity firm. Mike has over twelve years of experience with mergers, acquisitions, and corporate finance with companies across a broad range of industries. During his career, Mike has advised a wide variety of clients, from market leaders to start-up ventures. He has represented both domestic and international clients in their M&A and related activities. During his tenure at FHL Capital, Mike has advised over 50 clients on transactions with aggregate value in excess of $1.8 billion.
Kevin Keck, Vice President and CFO of FHL Capital, received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa. He has served in Controller and Chief Financial Officer roles in a variety of industries, including insurance, construction, and manufacturing. In these roles, Kevin has overseen Finance and Accounting, Purchasing, Human Resources, and Risk Management functions. Kevin has been associated with FHL Capital since 1996, and through the years has been involved in transactions in a wide range of industries and company sizes. Kevin has been heavily involved in valuation analyses, developing confidential Investment Memoranda and developing marketing strategies and packages and managing the due diligence process.
